The dam was completed in 1974, many years after its inception. This dam is about 839 meters long and is built of stones. This dam can hold water from 84 feet to 152 Mcft capacity.
Ramanathi dam has 7 anicuts and a reservoir of 4.3 million cubic meters. The water from this reservoir irrigates 20.23 sq km of irrigated lands. Ramanathi dam is very close to the Gadana Nathi dam since the two rivers, Gadananathi and Ramanathi are flowing nearby near.
