Recently, I went to Nagercoil, and I was astonished by the beautiful scenery. I've never thought I would get such a charming scenario before going to Nagercoil. Surprisingly no traveling website recommended Nagercoil as a tourist place. Nagercoil is an unnoticed tourist place in Tamilnadu. The way to go to Nagercoil is just great cause of the valley, mountains, trees, lakes, green scenery, and the clouds over the hill that look like the mountain were covered with the bedsheet. The road is also smooth, especially the bridges will give you an adventurous feeling.
History
Nagercoil also has some sort of history like any other city. The name "Nagercoil" comes from the temple "Nagaraja Koil" which belongs to Nagercoil. Nagercoil has been an important center for the production and sale of food spices in the Kingdom of Travancore since the 14th century. There were also good relations with the Arab merchants. Historians say that the fertile agricultural land, plants, and food found here are unmatched anywhere else in Tamil Nadu.
Nagaraja Temple
The Nagaraja Temple is said to have been built as early as the 12th century. The temple was built to worship the Nagaraja, the king of the serpents. The temple has three shrines. The first, second, and third shrines are dedicated to respectively Nagaraja, Lord Rukhmani, and Lord Shiva. People from different parts of Tamil Nadu also come to this temple to remove the naga blemish. They worship the god Nagaraja and remove the blemish.
Journey to Nagercoil
I went to Nagercoil only to participate in the competition, not for tourism. I was very furious and serious about the competition. I went in my two-wheeler which was a great accidental idea. After passing the Tirunelveli city, the path becomes beautiful and adventurous. Especially the bridges were given a tremendous experience. After that, it's fulfilled with trees, lakes, and mountains. The weather also becomes cool when closer to Nagercoil.
To return home, I chose a different route than the one on Nagercoil. The route first I was taken is bypass road and that is the national bypass road. But the second time I chose a route that consist of villages. On my return home, I've seen the clouds covering the hilltops and that looks like the clouds covered the hilltop like a blanket.
Nagercoil Lifestyle
The people were very nice and their language is sweeter. They speak Tamil with Malayalam slang and that makes the language more sweater. Their timing is starting at 10 am which is strange in Tamilnadu. Colleges, offices, schools everything starts at 10 am. The whole of Nagercoil is a natural friend and you can see the greenery of the trees even in the most important places.
Geography of Nagercoil
As before I told you, Nagercoil is eco friendly and that is fulfilled with valleys, farmland, lakes and the most important is hills. You can see the mountains from anywhere in Nagercoil. Those mountains are the Western Ghats. The locations and paths there are slightly uphill and downhill. Because it is mountainous it is slightly higher than the sea level. It will be a bit difficult to travel as there are paths in high and narrow places. This is why their lifetime starts from 10 am. It has also changed their whole lifestyle. It is always cool here as it rises above sea level.

Since Nagercoil is a hilly area, there you can see a lot of beautiful waterfalls and that is Nagercoil's main tourist place. According to my opinion, you should plan a two days trip to Nagercoil and on the first day, you can go to the falls and enjoy the beauty of it. And on the second day, you have to go to the temples, restaurants, hotels, and so on.

- Nagercoil is an important place in the Kanyakumari district in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. There is direct transport to Nagercoil from various important places.
- As Nagercoil is a district, there is a separate railway station for Nagercoil. There are regular train services to important cities such as Delhi, Chennai, Salem, and Bangalore.
- The nearest airport station to Nagercoil is Trivandrum which is located 66 km away from Nagercoil.
