Peraruvi is the Biggest falls in Courtallam. The waterfall falls from a height of 60 meters. Due to the natural abyss of the Pongumakadal, the water in this waterfall flows slowly. Since there are herbs and Shiva lingam in the path of the waterfall, the water falling from the waterfall will be herbal and with the blessings of God.
Old Courtallam Falls
Old Courtallam Falls has located about 6.5 km from Main Falls. It is also known as Sivamathungai Falls. The waterfalls are from a height of 200 meters. The steps are cut to allow people to bathe safely in the waterfall. The water first goes to the valley that forms between the two large rocks and then its course changes naturally and the waterfalls into this waterfall.

- You can only enjoy waterfalls between 6 am to 6 pm. The starting time may vary but the atmost time to bathe is 6 pm.

- Everyone should wear a mask due to the pandemic situation. This will uplift once a pandemic has gone.
Apart from rules, you should have some morals that, don't leave plastic here, don't damage any trees or rock, don't disturb the animals and more importantly don't leave any wastes here and there.
